The 7-pin quartz glass conductivity measuring cell was developed for connection to existing probe systems.
The conductivity measuring cell is suitable for both profiling and monitoring. The conductivity measuring cell is supplied as standard without electronics and without calibration.
Connection to proprietary probe systems is always at the customer’s risk. Mechanical damage during connection will void the warranty.
We recommend integrating a pressure feedthrough to prevent total damage to the probe system and the electronic board in case of sensor damage. The 7-pin quartz glass cell is located inside the sensor’s plastic housing. It contains 7 platinum rings.
The 7-pin cell has a symmetrical design and consists of two 4-electrode half-cells. The measuring current flows via the common electrode in the middle (4) into the two half-cells with the outer electrodes 1 and 7. 1 and 7 are grounded. In the half-cells, each potential is measured without current flow at electrode pairs 2/3 and 5/6. The sum of both voltages is used to calculate electrical conductivity. This voltage can also be used to regulate the current through electrode 4. This current can also be used to determine electrical conductivity.
