Bio-fish
Our BIO-FISH is an extremely lightweight, multiparametric
system, designed for fast and comprehensive data acquisition
in estuaries, lakes, rivers, and coastal areas.
It is largely automated, allowing it to be used
by personnel without special training in measurement technology and
data processing.
The complete system consists of:
- the BIO-FISH tow body with various physical, chemical and biological sensors,
- an electronics module for data acquisition and control,
- a GPS navigation system and echo sounder integrated into the BIO-FISH computer control to enable a wave-shaped measurement course with obstacle and bottom avoidance.
System Performance Data:
The BIO-FISH weighs approximately 20 kg and can be handled on-site by a single person. The maximum operating depth is 60 m at 3 knots. Special versions for greater depths and specific sensors are available upon request.
The sensors are mounted on the BIO-FISH in such a way that unobstructed flow is ensured. The measured values are not significantly affected by movement in the water column.
